This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Are you dependable, patient, and passionate about helping children feel safe and supported, while having so much fun? We’re seeking a caring and attentive Respite Provider to work with a vibrant young boy with Autism & ADHD in the Eau Claire area. This role focuses on emotional regulation, safety supervision, and structured support, helping the child thrive in a consistent and nurturing environment that you provide.

SHIFTS
40 Hours per month
Flexible on when these hours happen

WAGE
$14.13 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide one-on-one safety-focused care and constant supervision during all indoor and outdoor activities.
Help the child navigate emotional regulation, offering calm, consistent responses to dysregulation or behavioral challenges.
Create a structured and secure environment that promotes comfort, confidence, and predictability.
Engage the child in supportive and age-appropriate activities such as walks, movement games, and quiet time, adapting to the child's sensory needs and energy levels.
Monitor and document the child’s behavior and mood, maintaining open communication with the parents.
Offer steady encouragement while helping reinforce coping tools and behavioral strategies that promote regulation and growth.
 
IDEAL CANDIDATE

Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
Patient and understanding, especially when children are frustrated or energetic
Flexible and able to change gears quickly
Able to maintain a fun, engaging, and safe environment
Someone who values connection with children and understands the importance of building trust
 
REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver’s License
Reliable Transportation
Must pass a background check
