This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are looking for a reliable, supportive, and patient provider to spend quality time with them in the community on a routine support basis.
 
ABOUT THE KIDDO:
Enjoys going out into the community
Loves boba tea, visiting stores, going to the CCS, and exploring fun places
May want to include political discussions
Would love predictability and stability

SCHEDULE & HOURS:
4 hours per week, mostly on weekday evenings
On-call and flexible scheduling options - you can collaborate with the family to create a schedule that works for everyone
Community outing coverage is a priority, but flexibility is appreciated for additional support as opportunities arise
 
COMPENSATION:
$10.60 per hour
With Mileage Reimbursement 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct community outings (boba, store, walks, community events, CCS visits)
Provide companionship and supervision
Help them navigate transitions and new routines
Maintain patience and calm demeanor during moments of disagreement or frustration from kiddo
Encourage independence with providing structure
Build trust and communicate respectfully
Create a safe and engaging environment during all activities outside of the home
 
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We are looking for someone who is:
Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
Patient and understanding, especially when children are frustrated or energetic
Flexible and able to change gears quickly
LGBTQ+ Friendly
Able to maintain a fun, engaging, and safe environment
Someone who values connection with children and understands the importance of building trust
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation
Must pass a background check
Must be okay with animals in the home (dogs and cats)
Previous experience in caregiving, child care, or respite is preferred but not required
