This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate weekend Child Respite Provider to provide one-on-one support to a youth with Autism in the Black River Falls area. This role focuses on safety, emotional regulation, and structured support within a nurturing and predictable environment.

Pay: $17.66 per hour
Schedule: Saturdays | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one, safety-focused supervision and support
Promote emotional regulation through calm, consistent, and supportive responses
Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, in a respectful and dignified manner
Engage the child in age-appropriate, supportive activities
Utilize and respond to non-verbal communication methods
Maintain routines and structured expectations to support regulation and comfort
Communicate effectively with the family and follow established care guidelines

Ideal Candidate
Patient, compassionate, and dependable
Calm and observant, with the ability to maintain a safe, structured environment
Experience supporting children on the autism spectrum or with sensory needs
Comfortable with both active engagement and quiet, regulation-focused support
Skilled in de-escalation, redirection, and consistency
Adaptable to individual emotional and developmental needs
Strong communicator who values collaboration with families

Requirements
Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check
Authorized to work in the United States
Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
Experience with non-verbal communication methods preferred, but not required
