This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a patient and dependable Respite Provider to support a fun and energetic 4-year-old boy with autism. This position provides valuable support to both the child and his family while creating opportunities for engagement, learning, and recreation.

Pay: $14.13 per hour
Schedule: Primarily Sunday mornings, with some flexibility available

About the Child
4-year-old non-verbal boy with Autism
Loves being active, especially running and jumping
Enjoys attending the YMCA, church activities, tumbling, music, and dance
May engage in elopement behaviors, requiring close supervision and strong safety awareness

Responsibilities
Provide safe, attentive supervision at home and in the community
Engage the child in age-appropriate recreational and sensory activities
Support participation in activities
Monitor and prevent elopement behaviors while ensuring the child's safety at all times
Build a positive, trusting relationship through patience, consistency, and encouragement
Communicate effectively with the family regarding activities and observations

Qualifications
Experience working with young children, preferably children with autism or other developmental disabilities
Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Comfortable supporting an active child with high energy levels
Strong awareness of safety and ability to respond appropriately to elopement risks
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Ability to follow family routines and guidance
 
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, understands the importance of patience and consistency, and can provide a safe, positive environment for a child who thrives through movement, play, and community activities.
