This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

A lovely family in the Chippewa Falls area is seeking a compassionate and dependable sibling respite provider to offer support and care for two young children. This role involves spending time with the children in their home and community, engaging them in fun, meaningful activities, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment while providing the family with valuable respite time. If you enjoy creating meaningful experiences for children and want to make a difference in a family’s life, we’d love to hear from you!

Location: Respite to take place in the child's home & community

Schedule: 10 hours/week available - Afternoons/evenings preferred – flexible schedule TBD between family & provider

Child 1: Female, School-aged
Enjoys: 
  • Tv/movies/characters: MOANA (current favorite), Mario (Princess Peach) 
  • Going out into the community
  • Coloring & Drawing 
  • Being outside
  • Going to the park or fun community events 
  • Playing on her tablet – limit screen time 

Child 2: Male, Toddler
Enjoys:
  • Songs & playing instruments 
  • Playing on his climbing blocks 
  • Music & attention  

Passes: YMCA

What You’ll Do:
  • Engage the children in play and community activities
  • Provide supervision and support with basic personal care routines for male child (bathing, dressing, restroom reminders)
  • Encourage positive social interaction and a safe, nurturing environment
  • Assist with routine activities around the home or outings in the community

Ideal Candidate:
  • Open to regular communication with the family and adaptable to a changing schedule.
  • Energetic, engaging, dependable, and compassionate
  • Comfortable supporting children with developmental disabilities
  • CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain) preferred
  • Prior experience working with children is helpful but not required

Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 
  • Willing to undergo a caregiver background check upon hire
