This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Respite Provider
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 15 hours per week
Pay: $14.13 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a caring, reliable Respite Provider to support a child in the Eau Claire community. This role focuses on providing engaging, active, and supportive experiences while giving caregivers a short break. The ideal candidate enjoys being active, patient, and working one-on-one with children.

Responsibilities
Take the child out into the community and engage in activities he enjoys
Support participation in physical and recreational activities such as:
o Basketball and football (currently participates in Miracle League)
o Swimming (child can swim but is not a strong swimmer)
o Action City
o Park and outdoor activities
Encourage positive outlets for energy and aggression through structured, enjoyable activities
Support smooth transitions between activities by providing cues and countdowns
Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times
Build a positive, respectful, and trusting relationship

Pretty independent and enjoys being active
Benefits from clear expectations and transition support
Thrives with patient, consistent guidance

Required Qualifications
CPR and First Aid certification (current or willing to obtain)
Experience working with children with Autism and PTSD
Ability to provide structure, redirection, and calm support during transitions
Dependable transportation and willingness to engage in community-based activities

Preferred Qualities
Energetic, patient, and compassionate
Comfortable facilitating physical and recreational activities
Experience with behavior support strategies
Reliable and consistent
