Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Respite Care Provider – Eau Claire, WI

Make a meaningful impact while supporting a creative, energetic young girl.

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and patient individual to provide respite care for a young girl who thrives on creativity, music, and fun, hands-on activities. This role offers the chance to build a supportive relationship while helping a child grow in confidence, independence, and emotional well-being.

Position Summary

The Respite Care Provider will offer supervision, safety, and gentle support in both home and community settings. The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with children, encourages imaginative play, and uses calm communication and structure to help the child succeed.

This role is perfect for someone who loves arts, music, puzzles, and creating meaningful one on one connections.

Schedule & Compensation

Overnight Support

• 6 overnights per month

• Compensation: $207.45 per day

Additional Weekly Hours

• Occasional 5 daytime hours per week

• Rate: $14.13 per hour

Where Care Takes Place

Respite services will be provided in:

• The provider’s home

• Community settings such as parks, libraries, events, or activity spaces

Core Responsibilities

The Respite Care Provider will support the child with:

• Personal cares as needed

• Meal and snack preparation

• Ensuring safety and consistent supervision

• Providing gentle reminders and emotional support

• Encouraging participation in enjoyable, age appropriate activities

• Facilitating community outings that are fun and engaging

About the Kiddo

She is energetic, playful, and full of personality. She thrives with caregivers who are patient, supportive, and willing to join in her interests. She especially enjoys:

• Music and dancing

• Noncompetitive sports

• Arts and crafts

• Pop culture trivia

• Puzzles and problem-solving

Her ideal caregiver is someone who can meet her energy, follow her creative lead, and provide a calm, structured environment when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is:

• A patient, thoughtful communicator

• Familiar with autism supportive strategies

• Able to offer a balance of fun engagement and clear boundaries

• Reliable, consistent, and safety focused

Position Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Successful completion of a caregiver background check prior to hire

• A valid driver’s license

• Reliable transportation
