This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

MORNING & EVENING RESPITE PROVIDER – Eau Claire, WI

We are seeking a reliable, consistent, and patient Respite Provider to assist a bright, spirited young girl with her morning and bedtime routines. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, can set clear boundaries, and provides a calm and structured approach to daily routines. The right candidate will help create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that encourages cooperation, independence, and positive behavior.

ABOUT THE CHILD: 
This young girl is full of personality, curiosity, and intelligence. She is fully capable of completing tasks independently, but can be defiant at times and likes to test boundaries. She enjoys using her tablet, but sometimes struggles with transitions and following routines. The ideal provider is firm, patient, and consistent, helping her to navigate these moments while maintaining a positive connection.

SCHEDULE & HOURS:
10-12 hours per week 
Morning Shift:
7:00 AM – 8:30 AM – assist with waking up, getting ready, and preparing for school 
Evening Shift:
8:00 PM – 9:00 PM – assist with bedtime routine, promoting calm and healthy sleep habits 
Flexible scheduling may be considered depending on family needs 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide consistent supervision during morning and evening routines 
Set and maintain clear boundaries while remaining patient and supportive 
Assist with transitions, including limiting tablet use and following instructions 
Support emotional regulation and help the child engage positively with routines 
Communicate effectively with the family regarding successes, challenges, or concerns 
Encourage independence while providing guidance and structure 
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment at all times 

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Patient, firm, and consistent 
Experienced with children who may test boundaries or show defiant behavior 
Comfortable enforcing rules and maintaining routines in a calm, supportive manner 
Energetic, attentive, and able to connect positively with children 
Flexible and able to adjust strategies based on the child’s mood or needs 

REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 
Must pass a background check 
Previous experience in childcare, respite, or behavioral support preferred
