This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Location: Eau Claire, WI (In the community / providers home)
Schedule: 6 hours per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays available) + 2 days per month (8-hour days to start, transitioning to overnight shifts once comfortable)

Pay Rate:
Hourly: $17.66/hour
Day/Overnight Rate: $256.00 per day
 
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and engaging Respite Provider to support an individual in the community by helping him build social skills and participate in fun, meaningful activities. This role involves providing supervision, encouragement, and guidance during community outings and home activities.

The ideal candidate enjoys being active, creative, and flexible, and can maintain a calm, supportive approach when managing challenging behaviors such as verbal aggression.
 
Responsibilities
Provide community-based respite care and social support.
Encourage and model positive social interactions.
Engage in preferred activities, including:
o Riding bikes, playing catch, and basketball
o Music and drumming
o Arts and crafts
o Swimming
o Visiting Action City, Reboot Social, and bowling
o Helping with cooking and baking activities
Ensure safety during all activities and outings.
Communicate effectively with family or support staff regarding progress and daily activities.
 
Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with behavioral or social challenges preferred.
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
Ability to manage verbal aggression with calm and professionalism.
Reliable transportation for community outings.
