This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking an energetic, compassionate Respite Provider to work 1:1 with a young elementary-aged boy with autism. Care will take place in the child’s home and nearby parks. He is mostly non-verbal, sensory-seeking, and thrives with routine and physical activity.

Pay: $17.66/hour
Schedule6 hours/week, Saturdays & Sundays (11am–4pm preferred)

Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 supervision and care in home and community
Support sensory and play-based activities (trampoline, swings, balls, music, TV)
Encourage communication via signs, gestures, and communication pad
Assist with basic personal care (pull-up/restroom)
Ensure safety, especially with elopement and outdoor play

Ideal Candidate
Energetic, patient, reliable, and physically able to keep up with an active child
Experienced with autism or developmental differences
Calm and confident in managing behaviors
Creative in engaging the child and redirecting attention

Requirements
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
2–3 references
