This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Childcare/Respite Provider to give care, companionship, and supervision for young twin boys with autism and limited speech. Initially, respite care will take place in the children’s home, with the possibility of transitioning to the respite provider’s home in the future.

The ideal candidate is patient, understanding, and confident in their ability to support children with special needs. Experience working with children on the autism spectrum is strongly preferred.

The boys enjoy: pretend play, games, playing outside, power wheels, and videos on the tablet.

Location: Eau Claire, WI 
Wage: $17.70 per hour/$259.32 per day
Shift:
5 hours of Childcare per week – Prefers weekdays from 2pm to 6pm.
5 hours of Respite per week -Prefers Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm. 
1 day of Respite per month - Prefers weekend days

Duties:
  • Care/Supervision
  • Bathing assistance
  • Diaper changes/help with toilet training
  • Meal Prep/snacks
  • Community outings/public events

Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, & auto insurance
  • Previous experience with special needs children/Autism Spectrum
  • Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
  • Commit to being a long-term provider
