IN HOME RESPITE PROVIDER – Eau Claire, WI

Are you compassionate, patient, and looking for meaningful part-time work that truly makes a difference? We’re looking for a nurturing and reliable caregiver to support a bright and bubbly child with unique emotional and developmental needs.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a gentle presence who can provide reassurance and consistency — especially for a child who experiences toileting fears and sensory sensitivities.

You’ll be part of a caring team that values patience, positivity, and genuine connection. If you’re someone who finds joy in helping kids grow and feel safe, we’d love to meet you!

Providing calm, compassionate care and supervision during the morning routine
Assisting with breakfast and giving verbal prompts for hydration
Supporting with toileting and diaper changes in a patient, respectful way
Handling meltdowns or emotional moments with empathy and clear, consistent boundaries
Engaging in fun activities the child enjoys — such as singing favorite songs (Plankton/Roblox soundtracks), light play, or brief Roblox sessions as part of the morning routine
Creating a safe, structured, and positive environment where the child can feel supported and ready for the day ahead

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you are:
Patient, calm, and grounded — able to handle emotional or sensory challenges with empathy
Reliable and consistent — families depend on you to show up and provide stability
Playful and kind — able to connect through humor, music, or shared interests
A good communicator — comfortable following directions and maintaining open communication with the family

Experience in caregiving, childcare, special education, or related fields is a plus, but training and guidance will be provided to the right person with the right heart.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
This isn’t just a short shift to make quick cash — it’s a meaningful way to make a positive impact every week for this family to make their days easier. You’ll be helping a child build confidence, comfort, and trust through small, daily moments that matter. You’ll also give parents valuable peace of mind knowing their child is safe, cared for, and supported with patience and understanding every morning.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to work with purpose, bring joy to a child’s morning routine, and be part of a family-centered care team.
