This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

EVENING RESPITE PROVIDER – Eau Claire, WI

We are looking for a fun, patient, and reliable Respite Provider to spend time with a bright, curious young individual who loves to stay active and explore how things work. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on activities, has a good sense of humor, and can bring calm energy to the evenings.

This is a flexible, part-time role providing support and companionship in a safe and encouraging environment. The ideal caregiver is upbeat, responsible, and enjoys engaging in both creative and outdoor activities.

SCHEDULE

• Flexible evening hours

• Mondays & Tuesdays and Fridays & Saturdays

• No overnights

• Schedule may vary slightly based on family needs

WAGE

• $14.13 per hour

ABOUT THE MEMBER

This awesome kiddo is full of energy and curiosity! He loves to:

• Build with Legos and play with cars and trucks

• Go hiking, biking, and spend time outdoors

• Take things apart and put them back together just to see how they work

• Tell jokes and be silly — but sometimes needs gentle reminders about appropriate language

He thrives with caregivers who are active, patient, and consistent — someone who can keep things fun while maintaining structure and boundaries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide engaging, supportive evening care

• Plan and participate in fun, safe activities in the home or community

• Offer positive encouragement and redirection when needed

• Foster independence while maintaining safety and structure

• Be open to occasional outings to meet others in the community (as appropriate)

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, dependable, and patient

• Enjoys hands-on play, outdoor activities, and creative problem-solving

• Comfortable supporting children or young adults with unique needs or strong personalities

• Flexible with evening hours and open communication

Preference may be given to male or younger caregivers, though all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Driver’s License

• Reliable Transportation

• Valid Proof of Auto Insurance

• Must pass a background check

• Relevant certifications or experience in caregiving, respite, or childcare are a plus
