This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Youth Respite Provider - Active and Fun Focused Care

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced respite provider for a young teen with autism who is playful, creative, and independent-minded. This meaningful role focuses on one-on-one care that emphasizes emotional regulation, safety supervision, and structured support within a consistent, nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and flexible, with a genuine passion for supporting neurodivergent youth. If you’re dependable and eager to make a positive impact on a child’s daily life, we’d love to hear from you!
 
Schedule:
Fridays to Sundays (planned in advance with family, two weekends per month)
Pickup from home (Bloomer, WI) Friday afternoon, drop-off Sunday by 5 PM
Care Provided within Provider's Home

Starting Wage: $207/Overnight +$14.13/Hour
 
About Child:
Loves Pokémon, fishing, anime (One Piece), video games, cooking, and phone/tablet activities
Enjoys swimming and creative projects
Laid-back, social, and active
Sensitive to loud noises or high-volume environments
May need space and time to cool down if frustrated (“getting itchy”)
Medication administration and nighttime hygiene/toileting assistance may be required

Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage in hobbies and leisure activities safely
Assist with medication and nighttime toileting as needed
Provide emotional support during challenging moments
Maintain a safe environment and redirect appropriately during meltdowns

Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Experience working with children with autism or ADHD highly recommended
Patience, empathy, and ability to handle frustration calmly
