This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Youth Respite Provider – Focused on Safety, Regulation & Support

Are you dependable, patient, and passionate about helping children feel safe and supported? We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Youth Respite Provider to work with a vibrant young boy with autism in the Menomonie area.

This role focuses on providing one-on-one support that promotes emotional regulation, ensures safety, and fosters a structured yet nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be calm, proactive, and committed to helping the child thrive through consistent routines and gentle guidance.

Location: Menomonie
Compensation: $17.66/Hour
Schedule: Up to 30 Hours/Month
Scheduled in Advance with Parent!

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one safety-focused care and constant supervision during all indoor and outdoor activities.
Help the child navigate emotional regulation, offering calm, consistent responses to dysregulation or behavioral challenges.
Create a structured and secure environment that promotes comfort, confidence, and predictability.
Engage the child in supportive and age-appropriate activities such as walks, movement games, and quiet time, adapting to the child's sensory needs and energy levels.
Monitor and document the child’s behavior and mood, maintaining open communication with the parents.
Offer steady encouragement while helping reinforce coping tools and behavioral strategies that promote regulation and growth.

Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Calm, observant, and capable of maintaining a safe and structured setting
Experienced in working with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory/behavioral needs
Comfortable assisting with both active play and quiet moments of regulation
Skilled at de-escalation, redirection, and following care routines
Patient, compassionate, and flexible in adapting to the child’s emotional and developmental needs
A great communicator who values teamwork with the family

Requirements:
Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
Experience with non-verbal communication methods (preferred but not required)
