This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Child Respite Provider 
Location: Wausau, WI 
Wage: $17.66 per hour

We are searching for an experienced Child Respite provider for a male toddler with special healthcare needs. Respite care will take place in the child’s home. The ideal provider will be kind, patient, and reliable. This role requires someone proficient in catheter care and G-Tube feedings/medication administration and confident in their abilities when working with very young children. Excellent communication skills are also desired.

This boy enjoys: cars, his pacifier and his big sister.  
Schedule: 5 hours per week -6pm to 10pm 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Bathing & dressing for bedtime 
  • Care, companionship, and supervision always 
  • Catheter care: intermittent catheter use, cleaning 
  • G-tube care: feeding and medication administration 
  • Prepare evening meal and/or snack as directed by family 
  • Toileting: Diaper changes

Requirements:
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Willing to undergo a caregiver background check prior to hire 
  • Family prefers female providers 
  • Prior RN, LPN, or C.N.A. certification preferred, but not required.
