Youth Respite Provider – Safety, Support & Emotional Regulation
We are seeking a caring, attentive Youth Respite Provider to support a vibrant young boy with autism in the Black River Falls area. This meaningful role focuses on one-on-one care that emphasizes emotional regulation, safety supervision, and structured support within a consistent, nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and flexible, with a genuine passion for supporting neurodivergent youth. If you’re dependable and eager to make a positive impact on a child’s daily life, we’d love to hear from you!
 
Location: Black River Falls, WI

Compensation: $17.66/hour

Schedule: Saturdays, Noon–5 PM
 
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one, safety-focused care and supervision.
Support emotional regulation with calm, consistent responses to behavioral challenges.
Create a structured, secure, and predictable environment.
Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, in a respectful and supportive way.
Engage the child in supportive, age-appropriate activities.

Ideal Candidate
Calm, observant, and able to maintain a safe, structured setting.
Experienced with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory/behavioral needs.
Comfortable supporting both active play and quiet moments for regulation.
Skilled at de-escalation, redirection, and following care routines.
Patient, compassionate, and adaptable to the child’s emotional and developmental needs.
Strong communicator who values collaboration with the family.

Requirements
Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
Experience with non-verbal communication methods preferred, but not required.
