This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.


Job Description:
We are searching for an energetic, experienced Teen Respite Provider to join an existing team of providers to support an older male teen with special needs. 
The ideal candidate will provide essential care, companionship, and supervision to always ensure the well-being and comfort of the teen. This job is perfect for students, part time workers, or those looking for meaningful opportunities to make a difference!
This teen enjoys basketball, swimming/water play, being out in the community to walk through stores/people watch, using his IPAD for YouTube videos, Thomas the Train, and music.

Location: Hartland, WI

Wage: $18.42 per hour

Schedule: Up to 15 hours per month. (Example: a Friday evening or a Saturday day shift)

Responsibilities:
    • Provide companionship and supervision
    • Engage with the teen at home or in the community in activities
    • Redirect behaviors consistently
    • Personal cares as needed

Skills:
    • Experience working with special needs teens/developmental disabilities
    • Knowledgeable of CPR techniques and emergency response protocols.
    • Familiar with seizures and how to manage them (teen is not having active seizures)
    • Experience working with people with limited verbal language

Qualifications:
    • Valid Driver’s License, 
    • reliable vehicle, 
    • auto insurance
    • Previous experience working with kids/teens with special needs/developmental disabilities
    • Willing to undergo a background check
    • C.N.A. licensure preferred but not required
