This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Youth Respite Care Provider to support a fun-loving, non-verbal child with autism in a comfortable home environment. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is young at heart, patient, and passionate about working with neurodivergent youth.

The ideal provider will enjoy engaging in active play, supporting communication through ASL (American Sign Language), and creating a safe, positive space where the child can thrive. Activities may include backyard play, pool time, and sensory-friendly games.

Location: Bloomer, WI
Starting Wage: $14.13/Hour
Schedule: Up to 10 Hours/Month

Key Responsibilities:
Engage the child in fun, sensory-friendly activities such as playing with bubbles, watching Cocomelon, and backyard play.
Use and understand basic ASL (American Sign Language) or be willing to learn.
Supervise and support water play activities including pool time, bath, or sink play.
Respect the child’s personal space and be mindful of sensory sensitivities.
Assist with personal care needs (including toileting) in a respectful and supportive way
Provide hands-on assistance with daily needs while respecting the child’s communication style and autonomy.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Younger and agile, able to keep up with an active child who enjoys physical play (tossing, movement, etc.)
Kind, playful, and patient
Attuned to boundaries and able to support a child who communicates when they need space
Knowledgeable or experienced in working with children with autism or similar
Able to pass a Caregiver/Criminal background check
Must have reliable transportation and valid drivers license
