This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Respite Care Provider Needed – Flexible Hours | Active, Low-Key Outings | Trauma-Informed Experience Preferred

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and flexible respite care provider to support a bright, creative young girl who loves spending time out in the community. This role is perfect for someone with a calm and understanding demeanor, who is trauma-informed and comfortable offering one-on-one support.

The ideal candidate will enjoy engaging in low-key activities, assisting with outings like shopping or visiting the library, and helping the child build life skills in a supportive environment.

Location: Chippewa Falls, WI
Starting Wage: $14.13/Hour
Schedule: Up to 10Hour/Week

Planned in Advance with Parent!

About the Role:
The ideal provider will support the child in the home and occasionally take her on low-key community outings such as:
Visiting the library
Going shopping
Casual walks (short distances)
Light activities at the YMCA (she has a pass)
Volunteering at animal shelters or visiting horses
Cooking activities or quiet time with books

Please note: High-energy or overly physical activities may be overstimulating for her. She thrives best in relaxed environments and with caregivers who understand how to adapt based on her energy level each day.

Support Needs Include:
Frequent toileting reminders and assistance
Encouragement with self-care and independence-building skills
Extra support with processing time, especially at home

Required Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license
Reliable vehicle
Current auto insurance
Experience working with youth with trauma is strongly preferred

If you're someone who loves animals, books, and empowering young people, and you’re looking to make a difference through meaningful 1:1 support, we’d love to hear from you!
