This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Teen Support Worker to provide dedicated care and support for a teenage girl with developmental disabilities in her home environment. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and committed to supporting her growth, safety, and daily functioning.

This girl’s interests include pop music, crafts, animals, shopping, and being outdoors. If you are interested in spending time with a wonderful girl and having fun, please apply today!

Location: New Berlin, WI
Wage: $20.28 per hour

Schedule:
• 9 to 15 hours per week (3 hours minimum per shift –2:30pm to 5:30pm)
               Preferred days of the week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct, hands-on support for a teenage girl with developmental disabilities. Assistance needed with all personal cares.
• Assist with the development and improvement of fine motor skills through targeted activities that promote independence and self-care.
• Support with daily routines, schoolwork, and recreational activities, adapting tasks to suit her developmental level.
• Encourage and reinforce positive behavior, emotional regulation, and confidence.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
• Collaborate with family members and other care professionals to ensure continuity of care and progress toward developmental goals.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with children or teens with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of strategies to support fine motor development.
• Passion for helping others and making a meaningful difference in a young person’s life.
• Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a home setting.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background check required
