This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Seeking a warm, engaging, and dependable respite provider to support a joyful and independent young boy with Autism. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, a genuine interest in building a trusting relationship, and the ability to support daily routines, social engagement, and occasional community outings. He is a happy, bright, and expressive child who thrives in calm, 1:1 environments (family prefers no other children accompany you during respite). Special education experience is preferred but not required. Respite care will take place exclusively in the family’s home and community, with 10 flexible hours per week available. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections, encourages independence, and brings a calm, attentive energy to their work. Overnight support may be discussed in the future, once everyone is comfortable.

Pay: $14.13/hour (after tax rate)

Location: Respite to take place in the child's home & community (Eau Claire, WI)

o Prefers independent play (does not like parallel or direct play as much)
Outings: 4 Treasures, Action City & Chaos Waterpark, Fairfax Pool – not as into city parks anymore
o He may protest about getting out of pjs and leaving but will generally have a blast once he is there
