This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We’re seeking a caring and attentive Youth Respite Provider to work with a vibrant young boy with autism in the Black River Falls area. This role focuses on emotional regulation, safety supervision, and structured support.

Location: Black River Falls

Compensation: $17.66/hour

Schedule: Saturdays Noon-5PM

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one safety-focused care and supervision.
Help the child navigate emotional regulation, offering calm, consistent responses to dysregulation or behavioral challenges.
Create a structured and secure environment.
Assist with personal care needs (including toileting) in a respectful and supportive way
Engage the child in supportive and age-appropriate activities.
Monitor the child’s behavior and mood, maintaining open communication with the parents.

Ideal Candidate Will Be:

Calm, observant, and capable of maintaining a safe and structured setting
Experienced in working with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory/behavioral needs
Comfortable assisting with both active play and quiet moments of regulation
Skilled at de-escalation, redirection, and following care routines
Patient, compassionate, and flexible in adapting to the child’s emotional and developmental needs
A great communicator who values teamwork with the family

Requirements:

Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record

Experience with non-verbal communication methods (preferred but not required)
