This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable individual to provide respite care for a bright young girl with autism and ADHD. This role goes beyond basic supervision—it's an opportunity to become a supportive mentor and guide as she builds confidence.

In this part-time position, you will work closely with the child, supporting her through engaging routines and hands-on learning experiences that foster practical life skills. From meal preparation to hygiene routines, you’ll play an active role in helping her learn and grow in a nurturing environment.

Location:

Care to be provided in the child’s home.

Compensation:

$18.42 per hour

Schedule:

Flexible and arranged in advance with the managing party (parent/guardian)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 supervision
  • Assist and teach daily living tasks such as hygiene routines, meal preparation, and light household chores
  • Support the child in gaining independence through positive reinforcement
  • Encourage social-emotional development through structured play, and consistent routines
  • Build a warm, encouraging relationship
  • Maintain open communication with the family to share progress

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience supporting children with disabilities or neurodiverse needs (autism and/or ADHD preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and consistency
  • Ability to follow and adapt individualized care plans
  • Comfort with teaching and encouraging life skills in a step-by-step manner
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a caregiver background check
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Passion for working with youth and making a meaningful impact
