Respite Provider
Description & Requirements
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Teen Respite Provider to give companionship, support and supervision to a female with special needs. Your role as a Respite Provider is essential in ensuring the well-being of the teen while allowing her main caregivers the necessary breaks they need for self-care. We are looking for a long-term care provider that is willing to be flexible with summer and fall hours.
The family would prefer the same potential employee to work with the teen on daily living skills. Tasks to work on include hygiene practices, following directions, keeping a routine/schedule, safety practices at home and in the community, and work on improving her communication, as she is verbally limited. The ideal candidate will be able to build a trusting relationship with the teen and engage with her during your time together, while demonstrating patience and compassion. We are looking for a long-term care provider that is willing to be flexible with summer and fall hours.
