This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Respite Provider / Personal Support Worker
Location: Menomonie, WI Area
Pay: $14.13/ Hour or $207.45/ Day (8+ Hours)
 
We are seeking a caring, hands-on Respite Provider to support a fun-loving and social child who enjoys staying active, learning new skills, and spending time outdoors. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, energetic, and enjoys working closely with children in a family-centered environment.
 
What Support Looks Like
The Respite Provider will support the child in a variety of daily and recreational activities, including:
Playing while encouraging mobility and movement
Outdoor and summer activities such as:
o Yard play
o Biking
o Swimming
Supporting fine motor skill development through hands-on activities like:
o Folding clothes
o Making cookies
o Educational games and tasks
Assisting with bathroom routines, including potty training and hand washing
Helping the child make choices using a simple communication device
o Training provided by parent
Attending and assisting with:
o Therapy appointments (St. Croix Therapy, Horse Therapy at Trinity)
o Occasional Rochester appointments
o Family activities and outings
Providing transportation support (drop-off/pick-up for therapy and occasional park visits)
o Transportation is paid through a transport company

Interests
Playing with balls and trucks
Biking and playing outside
Swimming
Using lots of words and engaging socially

Important Things to Know
Prefers not to go backward in a wheelchair
Sensitive to crying or screaming
Does not like slime or cold items

Schedule & Hours
School Year:
o 40 hours/month (S5125 Personal Supports)
o Respite: 5 days/month (daily rate only)
Summer:
o 50 hours/month
o Respite: 6 days/month (daily rate only)

Patient, reliable, and compassionate
Enjoys working with children and being active
Comfortable assisting with personal care routines
Willing to learn and follow family-guided support strategies
Dependable and comfortable assisting with appointments and outings
