This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

IN-YOUR-HOME TEENAGE RESPITE PROVIDER – Eau Claire, WI

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate provider to support a bright, creative, animal-loving teenager. This position is ideal for someone who values mentorship, meaningful connections, and helping a teen build confidence and independence.

The individual you’ll be supporting is initially quiet and shy but becomes silly, fun, and engaging once she feels comfortable. She is socially younger than her age and thrives with routine, patience, and gentle encouragement. She also follows a strict gluten-free diet due to celiac disease, so providers must be respectful and mindful of her dietary needs and sensitivities.

ABOUT THE KIDDO:
  • LOVES animals (volunteers at the Kitty Cafe & Humane Society)
  • Roblox
  • Art & Being Creative – digital art
  • Board Games
  • Action City – (She has a pass & enjoys the Arcade & swimming at Chaos)
  • RESPITE WILL BE DONE IN THE PROVIDER'S HOME/COMMUNITY

SCHEDULE & HOURS:
  • 15 hours per week, mostly on weekends
  • On-call and flexible scheduling options – you can collaborate with the family to create a schedule that works for everyone
  • Weekend coverage is a priority, but flexibility is appreciated for night support as opportunities arise

COMPENSATION: $17.66 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Providing calm, compassionate care and supervision during the morning routine
  • Assisting with meals and giving verbal prompts for hydration
  • Engaging in fun activities that the child enjoys
  • Creating a safe, structured, and positive environment where the child can feel supported and ready for the day ahead

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
  • Patient and understanding, especially when children are frustrated or energetic
  • Flexible and able to change gears quickly
  • Comfortable working in a home setting and occasionally in the community
  • Able to maintain a fun, engaging, and safe environment
  • Someone who values connection with children and understands the importance of building trust
