This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced In-Home Caregiver to support a nonverbal male with Down Syndrome. This position requires someone who is confident, calm, and able to redirect behaviors while providing hands-on care and meaningful engagement. Respite care will be conducted in the provider’s (your) home. Community outings are also encouraged.
 
Location: Altoona, WI
Wage: $241.26 per day 
 
Schedule:
• Friday evening - Sunday evening
• 2x weekends a month.
• Overnight Hours
• Flexible Schedule
 
Job Responsibilities:
• Supervision and Safety Awareness
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (Bathing, Dressing, Grooming etc.)
• Assisting with Toileting and incontinence.
• Meal Preparation
• Feeding with G-Tube
• Housekeeping
• Modeling Positive Behaviors
• Companionship and Social Engagement

Qualifications:
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid Driver's license/vehicle insurance/reliable vehicle required
• Must pass a background check before hiring
• Experience with mental/behavioral health adults preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with Down Syndrome preferred.
• Experience with nonverbal children or adults preferred.
• Comfort with G-Tube feeding (or willingness to learn).
