This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Looking for a summer provider to spend time with an active and energetic teen boy that enjoys being outside and engaging in a variety of hobbies. He has ADHD and Autism (verbal), and while he may initially be shy, he tends to open up with time and comfort. He has a strong interest in working out, fishing, shooting, plants, and art. He and his family live in a beautiful, secluded area and are accompanied by their dogs, chickens, and lots of wildlife. If you are passionate about providing care for a dynamic teen who loves to stay busy, enjoys outdoor activities, and is eager to learn new skills, we encourage you to apply!

Pay: $57.75/day (9-hour shift total) Supplement pay offered by the family but would need to be discussed with them directly.

Location: Family home is in Eleva, WI - Care location TBD between family & provider

Schedule: Summer provider needed (open to continue on weekends after summer)

• 2 days/week alternating every other week

• One week: Thursday & Friday

• Next week: Monday & Tuesday

• 8:00am – 5:00pm (some flexibility available)

Things He Enjoys:

• Hunter’s Safety & 4H Youth Council

• LOVES being outside (hunting, shooting, fishing, walks in the woods, etc.)

• Fishing - has his own equipment but may need help relining his pole

• Cook with him

• Plants & Art (He is entering his plants & paintings into the fair this July!)

• Playing videogames (limit screen time)

• RESPITE TBD BETWEEN FAMILY & PROVIDER

Passes: YMCA & Fairfax Pool, Family is also open to paying for a gym membership

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster an open and communicative relationship to build trust and help him feel comfortable.

• Help him stay busy and engaged with activities to maintain an active lifestyle (family is willing to provide a gym membership if needed).

• Assist with meal preparation, while encouraging him to become more independent in the kitchen.

• Foster life skills related to cooking, responsibility, and personal growth.

Ideal Candidate:

• A kind, patient, and understanding individual who can offer structure while encouraging independence.

• Someone who enjoys outdoor activities and is willing to be active and engaged in various physical tasks.

• Open to regular communication with the family and adaptable to a changing schedule.

Personal Cares:

• Medication & Restroom reminders

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Willing to undergo a caregiver background check upon hire
