This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Youth Respite Care Provider Needed for Active Sibling Boys

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and patient caregiver to provide respite support for two active siblings in their home. This role focuses on maintaining safety, encouraging positive interactions, and providing structured support in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, confident in setting boundaries, and skilled at guiding children through conflict in a supportive and constructive way.
 
Location: Eau Claire (Child's Residence)

Schedule:
Approximately 40 hours per month supporting both children
(Primarily weekends and after-school hours)
Approximately 5 hours per week providing occasional one-on-one support
Schedule planned in advance with the managing party (flexibility required)

Compensation: $16.00/Hour
 
Key Responsibilities
Provide active supervision to ensure safety and well-being
Plan and facilitate engaging, structured activities
Support positive sibling interactions and healthy communication
De-escalate conflicts using calm, proactive strategies
Offer emotional support, encouragement, and clear guidance
Communicate regularly with the family regarding behaviors, progress, and incidents
Assist with light household tasks related to care (meal prep, tidying activity areas)

Qualifications
Experience in childcare, respite care, or supporting children with behavioral needs preferred
Ability to manage high-energy situations with patience and consistency
Strong communication, boundary-setting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to build trust with both children and caregivers
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing quality care

Requirements
Valid driver’s license/Reliable vehicle/Auto insurance
Comfortable having care within the child's home
Ability to engage in active play and remain attentive during physical activities
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to Pass a Caregiver/Criminal Background Check
