This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We’re looking for a kind, patient, and dependable Child Respite Provider to spend quality time with a pre-teen girl with autism and additional special needs.  This is a rewarding opportunity to build a positive, trusting relationship while supporting her growth in independence and confidence. Care will take place in the provider’s home and in the community, with fun and engaging activities tailored to her interests.

This girl enjoys: arts & crafts, creative writing, video games, and fantasy (dragons)

Location: Black River Falls, WI
Wage: $14.13 per hour
Schedule: Up to 12 hours per month – Weekday late afternoons and potential weekend hours

Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate and consistent care during respite hours
• Engage in fun, age-appropriate activities and outings
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment
• Use redirection techniques, if necessary, with patience and calm demeanor

Requirements:
• Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
• Experience working with special needs children, autism, and mental health conditions
• Age 18 or older at the start of employment
• Willing to undergo a background check prior to hire
