This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Respite Care Provider Needed – Afternoons (Mon/Wed) | $14.13/hr
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and dependable respite care provider to support a young child with special needs in his home during weekday afternoons, with the opportunity to build hours with occasional overnights on the weekends.
 
Schedule & Pay-
Mondays & Wednesdays: 3:00–6:00PM
Opportunity to build additional hours, occasional overnights at 207$/Overnight
Hourly Pay: $14.13 per hour
 
About The Child-
The kiddo is an active, curious, and joyful child who thrives on hands-on learning and sensory-rich experiences. He is non-verbal, communicates through an AAC device and by guiding others to what he wants. he responds best to patient redirection, creativity, and distraction. He loves:
Machines of all kinds (tractors, riding devices, wheels)
Tinkering and cause-and-effect activities (Rube Goldberg–style builds, busy boards, buttons)
Music, especially playing on a piano/keyboard
Sensory play like swinging, trampoline time, swimming, and outdoor activities
Occasional outings such as the children’s museum or outdoor adventures

Responsibilities-
Ensure safety and provide attentive supervision
Prepare and assist with feeding
Engage the child in sensory, art, physical, and creative activities
Support communication using his AAC device and non-verbal cues
Accompany the child on occasional outings and assist with activities/safety supervision as needed
Provide care in the child’s home

What We’re Looking For-
A provider who prioritizes safety, companionship, and fun
Someone compassionate, patient, and understanding
Creative and hands-on, with interest in sensory play and cause-and-effect learning
Trustworthy, reliable, and consistent
Experience with non-verbal children or developmental differences is a plus, but not required

Requirements-
Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Reliable transportation.
