This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable caregiver to provide hands-on assistance for a young man with significant physical care needs. The ideal candidate is attentive, adaptable, and committed to helping individuals live comfortably and safely at home.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), nursing student, or experienced caregiver seeking meaningful experience in direct patient care, mobility support, and complex personal care.

Pay: $17.66/hour

Schedule
• This position provides up to 25 hours per week of authorized personal support.
• Typical coverage hours fall within the 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM range, though specific days and times may vary based on care needs and scheduling availability.
• There may also be opportunities for additional respite support, which could include extended shifts (over 8 hours) up to three days per month, depending on provider availability and authorization.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide attentive and supportive care, including assistance with:
Medication administration (3 times daily)
Eating, drinking, and daily support (including refilling water bottle with extended straw as needed)
Dressing and personal hygiene, including sponge bathing
Transfers to and from a manual wheelchair using a Hoyer lift
Repositioning every 2–4 hours to help prevent pressure injuries
Straight catheterization (approximately 6 times daily: every 4 hours during the day and every 6 hours overnight if applicable)
Bowel program assistance, including transfers to a bowel chair
Monitoring for signs of autonomic dysreflexia (such as headaches) and responding appropriately
Skin integrity monitoring, including checking for redness or irritation from braces, shoes, or clothing
Providing companionship and engagement — he enjoys movies, music, and spending time on his phone

Qualifications
Experience providing hands-on personal care, transfers, and mobility assistance
Experience with catheterization, bowel programs, and Hoyer lifts
Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing care needs
Valid driver’s license
