This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate, attentive, and reliable Youth Respite Provider to support an amazing 11-year-old boy. This role involves providing one-on-one care and companionship in the child’s home, with a focus on safety, emotional regulation, and the creation of a structured yet nurturing environment.

This is a part-time position designed to give the parent occasional support a few times per month and to give them a well-deserved break to catch up on house chores or have lunch dates. Scheduling is flexible and arranged in advance.

Schedule:
Flexible, scheduled in advance with the parent
Primarily evenings after school
Occasional weekends and summer hours
Potential for up to 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, one-on-one supervision during all activities (at home or out in the community)
Support emotional regulation using calm, consistent, and patient approaches
Engage age-appropriate activities such as walks, biking, swimming at the Y, fishing, board games, cards, puzzles, and playing with his drone.
Encourage positive social interaction and routine-based structure
Maintain clear, open communication with the parent

Ideal Candidate:
Calm, observant, and safety-focused
Experience working with children with autism or behaviors preferred
Skilled in de-escalation, redirection, and following established routines
Patient, compassionate, and adaptable
Strong communicator who values collaboration with families

Requirements:
Ability to pass a caregiver/criminal background check
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Reliable transportation and strong attendance
