This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Respite Provider to support a bright, energetic young girl who enjoys horses, imaginative play, and humor. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, engaging, and confident in supporting children with special needs. Work Setting
Services are provided in the child’s home and within the local community in Eau Claire, WI.

Schedule
Flexible scheduling arranged in advance with the parent. Typical hours include Saturdays from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM, or Sundays 1-5PM with the potential for occasional overnight shifts/Respite services could be in providers home as well.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, one-on-one care with a strong focus on safety and supervision in all settings
  • Support emotional regulation using calm, consistent, and patient approaches
  • Engage the child in age-appropriate activities such as outdoor play, movement-based games, and quiet time
  • Foster positive social interactions and model appropriate communication skills
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with parents regarding daily activities and progress

Qualifications
  • Experience working with children with special needs; experience with autism spectrum disorders strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide structure, guidance, and positive behavioral support
  • Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check
