Child Respite Provider
Description & Requirements
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Weekend Child Respite Provider to offer one-on-one support to a youth with Autism in the Black River Falls area. This role focuses on safety, emotional regulation, and structured support within a nurturing and predictable environment.

Schedule: Saturdays | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $17.66 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one, safety-focused supervision and support
- Promote emotional regulation through calm, consistent, and supportive responses
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, in a respectful and dignified manner
- Engage the child in age-appropriate, supportive activities
- Utilize and respond to non-verbal communication methods
- Maintain routines and structured expectations to support regulation and comfort
- Communicate effectively with the family and follow established care guidelines.

- Patient, compassionate, and dependable
- Calm and observant, with the ability to maintain a safe, structured environment
- Experience supporting children on the autism spectrum or with sensory needs
- Comfortable with both active engagement and quiet, regulation-focused support
- Skilled in de-escalation, redirection, and consistency
- Adaptable to individual emotional and developmental needs
- Strong communicator who values collaboration with families
Requirements
- Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
- Experience with non-verbal communication methods preferred, but not required
